Our team

Who are we?

Coventry Motor Factors started life in 1999 as Motaquip, a business to serve the aftermarket parts needs of garages and workshops around Coventry. In 2016 we were taken over by current owners Rob & Deb who kept serving our trade customers but also opened our business to the general public. Fast forward to this year and we have a six-strong, extremely experienced counter and warehouse team, backed up by a long-serving band of seven delivery drivers.

Rob

Owner & Director

Rob is our co-owner & director and has been in the motor factor business for over 20 years. What he doesn't know about running a car parts business isn't worth knowing.

Deb

Office Manager & Director

Deb is our co-owner and director and she manages our back office. She was at Peugeot in Coventry for 30 years before joining the family business in 2019 and is now very much the lady that keeps the CMF wheels turning.

Luke

Branch Manager

Luke has been with us since 2019… and we're lucky to have him. He's enjoyed a long and varied career in the industry working in sales, service and parts for; manufacturers, body shops and even on vehicle production lines.

Phil

Assistant Manager

Phil has enjoyed the varied interactions with customers and the daily challenges that brings, every day, since he joined us in 2016. He was made for this industry since joining the parts department.

Alan

Parts Specialist

Alan is one of the few members of staff that have been with us since the Coventry Motaquip days. He joined the business in 2005 from numerous roles in the auto aftermarket. Alan, could have retired years ago but enjoys the job too much.

Mel

Parts Specialist

Mel joined CMF in 2021 from another job in a similar sized motor factor in Coventry. She works in all areas of the business from the trade counter, to the warehouse and even on the occasional delivery.

Our delivery team

Backing up the counter team are our seven dedicated drivers, who literally deliver our promise of getting orders to our trade customers. If you need a little advice they are happy to help and if they don't have an answer for you then they'll get one of our friendly counter experts to drop you a line.
